THE INAUGURATION CEREMONY OF HUOI KHOI VILLAGE SATELLITE SCHOOL HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED

Date Submitted: 18/12/2024

On December 9, 2024, Hop Luc Construction Joint Stock Company, in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Ky Son District, successfully organized the Inauguration Ceremony of the Huoi Khoi Village multi-grade satellite school School in Ky Son District, Nghe An Province.

Located 250 km from Vinh City, Ky Son District in Nghe An Province is one of the seven poorest districts in the country, home primarily to the Hmong and Kho Mu ethnic groups. Perched atop a high mountain near the Vietnam-Laos border, Huoi Khoi Village, with a population of 160, is shrouded in cold mist all year round. The village needs access to electricity and water systems. The nearest school is 10 km away, with no means of transportation, making it a significant challenge for children to access education and learn basic skills.

Therefore, Hop Luc was determined to build a preschool to gift the children in the village. Commencing in August 2024, the project overcame numerous challenges while transporting materials across treacherous terrain. After four months of dedicated effort, the school was completed atop a mountain of 2,000 meters.

Mr. Vo Ta Diep, a representative from Hop Luc, also known as this event’s sponsor, said: “Alongside our mission to build sustainable structures, we firmly believe that success is not only measured by numbers but also by the humanitarian values we bring to the community. Education is the core value and the foundation for creating a better society. Hop Luc believes these well-equipped and warm classrooms will become a cradle for nurturing dreams, providing children opportunities to learn, grow holistically, and lay the groundwork for a bright future.”

Along with Hop Luc, the ceremony was attended by representatives from the Ky Son District People’s Committee, the district’s education department, teachers, and students.

In a spirit of joy and unity, representatives from all parties came together to cut the ribbon, marking the inauguration of the Huoi Khoi Village Preschool. Le Hai Anh, a dedicated volunteer with Hop Luc, bridged the connection between the sponsor and the children of Ky Son District, generously presenting warm coats and thoughtful gifts to inspire and uplift the young students.

Appreciating the sponsor’s generosity, the teachers and students, dressed in traditional Hmong ethnic costumes, performed lively and rhythmic dance routines. These performances brought a meaningful and heartwarming touch to the program, enhancing the atmosphere of connection and joy.

With the new satellite school in Huoi Khoi Village, the children will have a better learning environment, gradually taking firm steps to discover knowledge and prepare for the future. Looking toward 2025, Hop Luc is committed to continuing meaningful programs, joining hands to build a brighter future for Vietnamese children—the future stewards of the nation.
